Goal setting is vital to living the life you want to live. Without them you drift through life like boat without an anchor. With goals you can live the life you dream of.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail
~ Benjamin Franklin
You want to improve your life. You listen to motivational speakers, go to motivational seminars, read motivational books. You get fired up. You begin a spurt of doing what the expert of the month said would lead you to success. Life happens. You get busy. The fire fizzles. You have an idea in the back of your mind that you want to do something different, but life.
The only way to end this cycle is to stop. Set aside the time to focus on your goals.
Think:
- What are your priorities?
- What do you want to do ?
- Where do you want to go?
Record :
- Write it down
- Create a Vision Board
What needs to happen for you to achieve your goals:
- What resources do you have
- What resources do you need to acquire?
As you work on your goals doubt may plague you, especially if your goals are big – as they should be. Keep going. Set realistic time limits for the achievement of each goal. Break each one into smaller steps. Seek people who can support you, stay away from people who will tell you that you can’t do this. Make living the life you want to live your priority!
Just start.
“If you have a dream, you can spend a lifetime studying, planning, and getting ready for it. What you should be doing is getting started.”
– Drew Houston
